Clinical Practice

I have been able to integrate my training as a psychoanalytical psychotherapist with my experience as a physician to help people manage illnesses that have no clear basis in pathology and no obvious cause. These include abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, food intolerance, eating disorders, chronic fatigue, muscular aches and many many others. By investigating the relationship between fluctuations in the symptoms and life events and situations, I help my clients explore what their symptoms might represent and what it is in their personal history that makes certain situations difficult. This allows us to focus on the psychosocial factors that may be driving the symptoms. Talking about these issues in a relaxed and safe environment, can encourage the patient to view them in a different way and discover new opportunities for resolution.

I see patients privately at Share Psychotherapy.
